    movies vs books

Yes, and burning pixels into your retina is much better than reading. :) Books > Movies > Movies adapted from books IMO

    How FAST can you go?

So did another billion people around the world lol. I recall the world's fastest reading time for the last book was two or three hours. Maybe less.

    Religious affiliation

I'm apt to classify myself as an agnostic. But I believe in reincarnation and the circle of life thing. I don't pertain to any single religion, however.

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

As of 2007, it is 94.5%. Source? Forbes Magazine. I keep finding websites that state Australia is the fattest country though, so I'm thoroughly confused. Perhaps they use an alternate methodology to measure fatness? Not surprising considering the national foods of Australia are meat pies...

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

Obviously to hype it up. Ten's been on a losing streak after being forced to axe Big Brother. Feigning mendacity about a show is an example of one such technique. Just like how most channels show you the best part of a certain TV show or movie to get you to keep following the episodes, and when...

Who has done the best cover of a song?

The best recent covers I've seen all come from the YouTube band: Boyce Avenue. They did excellent covers of Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis), Viva La Vida (Coldplay) and Same Mistake (James Blunt). Check it out @YouTube. Indeed, Hendrix's cover of All Along the Watchtower is epistesmal.

George Orwell's Animal Farm is an allegory. In fact, probably the most famous satirical allegory.

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

He just wanted to show her how much oil she was consuming by having the extra snacks or something. And he probably wanted to see a woman covered in oil. ;) He purposely chose eighteen really ignorant people. And remember, this show supposedly shocked the UK. I guess Australia really is the...

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

I'll admit, it wasn't Gunther von Hagens's best autopsy, how often do you see a post-mortem dissection of a 160 kilo man? Just because you learnt something once, doesn't mean you can't learn it again either.

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

Don't think it's from the same series. This time he's exposing the cruelty behind the chicken and egg business. But it'll probably be a similar concept. I expected it to be much more like, shocking. So I was disappointed a little.

Jamie Oliver's Eat to Save Your Life

You missed the end where they cut up the 25 stone corpse. But yeah, the show wasn't extremely compelling stuff. Sample of next week's episode (23/07/08) of Eat to Save Your Life: The Truth about Chickens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20W_R-wWFA8 WARNING: Animal activists and the like, do not...

    Getting into the Ebay business.

If you can sell a piece Nutri-Grain that looks like E.T. for $20k+ on eBay, I don't see why you can't sell yourself. But yes, people have done that already, in addition to selling their virginity in a bottle, pubic hairs and Britney Spear's chewing gum. :cold:
