    Pi bonds vs sigma bonds

Fair. Can someone recap me briefly on what bond breaking actually does? I have just been taught that breaking bonds need energy and thats all!

    Cross-modular question

Hello guys, so my school is testing from the above inquiry questions from different mods in a likely cross-modular question - what do you think it will be?

    Pi bonds vs sigma bonds

Why are subsequent pi bonds easier to break than sigma bonds?

Can bond breaking be summarised as ........

Can bond breaking be summarised as removing an electron in layman's term. As in Pi bonds can be broken through the removal of an electron from it? Is it somewhat similar to this or is there more to it?

is UV light a catalyst in substitution reactions?

@someth1ng yh I would agree with that - its just that my teacher confused everyone by saying its a catalyst

is UV light a catalyst in substitution reactions?

yeah they do - its because the reaction requires energy to overcome the Cl2 and Br2 bonds

is UV light a catalyst in substitution reactions?

^^^^ my teacher said it was - but not too sure about it!!!

    bromine water vs bromine liquid?

^^^^ What would the overall reaction equation be when we react these two with cyclohexane and cyclohexene? Its just that I came across various textbooks with confusing and/or contrasting information. Hence wanted to confirm.... Thanks!!!

    What are stylistic features?

Examples would be more helpful.... (ik its quite a feasible term to understand, but just want to clarify)

    Atar estimate please?

@luke.harris64 It would be helpful if you provide your ranks and other details such as number of b6s per subject (which you can use HSC ninja to know), since these internal marks would get moderated...

If intramolecular forces do affect boiling and melting point, how would this be?

ye fair I agree as well - its just that I feel this question was kind of rigged lol...

If intramolecular forces do affect boiling and melting point, how would this be?

^^^^ This is in regard to a question I occurred earlier on

Do we need positioning when naming amides?

yh fair enough ig - numbering would be practical if there was a carboxylic group chucked in

Do we need positioning when naming amides?

I would assume not - but this one question had numbering so got a bit doubtful. Clarification on this would be extremely helpful!!!

What is the impact of using UV light in substitution rxn of alkanes, like why is it exactly needed

Hint: Think of it in terms of energy needed to break bonds and form them
