Oh ok, thatnks for helping. One more question, what do you do in work placement? Do they expect you to cook for their customers, like really big meals..or what?? Bceuase l get REALY nervous when l'm under a lot of pressure to perform well..
l also want to do REALLY well in my subjects next...
Thats very ture. Also try and use "big" words (you know, intelligent ones) and you'll blow them away...just make sure you know what they mean!! Also a good idea is to buy (if you don't already have one) a pocket dictionary, so you can look up words you don't know in class.
Another good tip is...
I like the idea of Food tech and hospitality....they sound like fun. I did chemistry, l didn't like it because l didn't understand it, l do gen maths, top of the class....its all pretty sweet.
Thanks OzGirl, l was just wondering if anyone knew some websites, you know to get some idea of what l would be doing throughout the year...because l have absolutly no idea!!
Tips and Hints for general maths year 11 and 12
Make sure you know your work- This means that just because you know how to do the work on the day in class, doesn't mean you'll know it coming to exam time. Try and do practise questions from past papers, or the chapter tests at the end of each...
Oh :(...*sniff*..oh ok your just kidding, l'm a blonde, don't worry about me..:p
Oh and l voted Maths. It is the BEST subject in the world. In year 7 and 8 l wasn't just failing or coming low in the class but l was dropped twice!
I am now the top of my class and going great..even...
Try practising questions, the ones that you have the most troubble with. Ask your teacher for help..a lunchtime or two a week for help from them. get a tutor, they are always helpful.
Try to make topics and sub topics of maths. Put in forumlaes and a few questions to jump-start your memory...
Try and make topics and sub topics, your topic could be financial maths and the sub topics could be somehting like interest. you write down the formulas and a paragraph on ecah sub topic. Have fun! :)
That is an idea, but the forumla sheet doens't provide us with all of the formulas we need. I suggest going through the text book and writing down any formulas that you think are relevant.
Its good to have notes, to remember the topics and sub topics, also have a detailed annaylsis of it and a few relevant formulas underneath yeah sub topic.
If you need some past papers - look here

It isn't big, but l hope it helps. I will be scanning my old and new exams and submitting them, with the answers (for some)
Has anyone here done the prelim part of hosp? Or even the entire course? I am starting it after the holidays and l would really appreciate it if someone had some notes, or some good websites l could go to....thanks very much!
I know it sucks, my best friend is doing senior science by correspondance and she has no one else in her situation.
I am doing biology, hospyitality and chemistry all in one year.
