yeah, i fucked around in yr 11 and failed it but now that i've been putting some degree of effort into it i've been getting full marks in everything so i think i should do reasonably well in the end. you did basically the same subjects as me right? i do 4u english, ancient, modern, legal +...

    High Court re-awards injured swimmer $3m 9/2/05

Yeah I think the council did have a degree of negligency overall, they could've at least posted signs saying "warning, sand dunes" or whatever. It's not like the courts didn't recognise that this guy had a degree of responsibility.

yeah i have, but the thing is, i hate kids. like teaching yr 11 and 12 would be ok but i hate 12-15 year olds so much. i dunno, if i don't study harder teaching may be the only thing i can get into. :p i do legal studies yeah, i've heard it doesn't really help much with actually doing law tho

for the record it was nothing against you mate, and i realise that marking is quite arbitrary, i was just flaming and like i said, it was kinda funny from a distance. good on you for not getting all up in arms about me pointing it out tho. :) did you get into the course you wanted regardless?

i'm actually not sure. i think i might want to do law but that might just be a "sounds good" thing... hence wanting to go combined. i've actually been thinking about going into editing type work. like i sometimes read and edit friend's essays for fun so it might actually be something i would...

    High Court re-awards injured swimmer $3m 9/2/05

yeah so it's a more clear-cut case than this, but the pedestrian should've looked before stepping onto the road regardless, it's just common sense... in the same logic as this case

ok, what if, say, one day you're at the traffic lights and the little green man comes up... but for some reason the signal is fucked and this car comes racing through because they see a green light, knock into you and paralyse you... does the council have any degree of responsibility here...

what's wrong with it? i've sort of read what people say is wrong with it, but are these just first year problems or stuff that would extend the length of yr degree?

    The Killers...

Yeah, you're completely right. Oh, except for the fact that my ex boyfriend was a huge fan and forced me to listen to heaps of their shithouse albums. I tried to like them, I really did. I even sat down and listened to Brave new World. The fact remains, I think they're shit. Moron.

    UTS vs Sydney vs UNSW?

oh gee, 'sorry, no matches...please try another term'. sorry to have invaded this obviously jumpin' forum with a simple question.

    UTS vs Sydney vs UNSW?

From what I've seen I'm fairly certain I want to go to UTS, however this is based purely on what I've seen not much from what I've heard from people who actually do law. Atm Syd + UTS are my preferred options purely because they're abt 10 mins away on a bus (opposed to UNSW which is 40mins-1hr)...

question cuz i'm thinking of putting this as a preference, prolly combined with law... does this degree actually have any career opportunities or is it a glorified arts degree? cause it sounds interesting, but i don't want to be a novellist or anything... altho i have been considering editing.

    gang rape retrial

But no one is going to get 55 years for date rape. That's the thing I think everyone seems to be misunderstanding... he wasn't up on ONE charge of sexual assault, he was up on assault in company, aggravated sexual assault, penile, anal, vaginal assault etc... the main reason his sentence was so...

    gang rape retrial

Oh fuck off, that is not what I meant. The fact is, long term, being raped is more painful than being murdered, because being murdered *generally* has a much closer point where you can say "okay, it doesn't hurt anymore"... because you're dead. Being dead doesn't harm anyone, it just stops...

    gang rape retrial

Also to this: you have to remember some things. One, Bilal Skaf was the ringleader, meaning he organised these rapes. And it wasn't just one girl once, it was 4 girls on 3 occasions. Two, it wasn't just one 'rape'. She was continually penetrated, over and over, vaginally, anally, orally, forced...

    gang rape retrial

Shut up Justin. Seriously, just fuck off and die. People who are murdered don't have to spend the next usually better part of their life trying to deal with it. I hate that there had to be a retrial but ultimately I do agree with it. Anyone who doubts Skaf's innocence is very very stupid and...

Erin points out that it is spelt Campbelltown, and seeing as he made a genuine spelling mistake (rather than his fingers getting away from him), he must be stupid at English.
