If I suck at maths, is it worth it to do 4 unit?

Don't do it at all. I know some people who chose 4u and continued with it despite failing assessments - ended up with ATARs in 70s. Do 2u if you really think you can't improve in maths - smash all your other subjects. I suggest keeping 3u though. I initially found it very challenging in year...

Getting into UNSW or USYD, B of Commerce/Science.

No bonus points at USYD unfortunately, but you can get into science and transfer to comm/sci in second year!. It isn't difficult if you put the effort in! If you think you will get the bonus points at UNSW, that would probably be the best as you don't have to worry about transferring.

    Environmental Sustainability

You could talk about that as a limitation when analysing effectiveness of govt policies. lack of property rights mean pollution need to be monitored by external body (costly etc) but if they had property rights, it would work just like a market where private buyers/sellers work to their best...

What is the future of Pharmacy?

Economics units are some of the most interesting units out of comm/eco/buss units. Its just heaps of people who don't get into commerce do economics just because its ATAR is lower, but its a much more challenging course. Also, with economics, honours/masters etc is like minimum for good jobs...

All your statistics from 'the religion of peace'. It is almost as fucking reliable as this http://www.debbieschlussel.com/50331/mega-pop-star-pimping-islam-on-your-daughters/ And you do realise the whole 'muslim = bad' stretches far beyond religion in the middle east. It is more political than...

Half yearly report - ATAR Estimate Please

A and B come first in standard english. A gets 96 in HSC exam, B gets 80 in HSC exam. For assessment marks they both get 88 (average of two). Hence, A's final mark gets dragged down to 92 because of B. I think thats how it works.

    "F*CK this shit" Anyone else?

this. Don't become one of those annoying cunts 'oh hsc was so easy, wait till uni'. Obviously uni is harder (you cover twice as much content as the HSC in 13 weeks - once you're behind, no catching up - well at least for me). But its a lot less stressful, there is no 'ATAR'. As one of my...

    Tell me about economics?

economics is actually interesting whereas business isn't. After the first few weeks of eco, the general economy, the news, the budget, won't be alien to you anymore. But there is a huge difference between business and economics. This carries through to uni, economics is much harder here too.

In employer's eyes is there a big difference between distinction and high distinction

Re: In employer's eyes is there a big difference between distinction and high distinc It is different. If you have HDs in most of your units, have internship experience and not socially awkward, no fucking shit the employer will pick you over someone with Ds, works at KFC and says umm every...

Tim dixon is will probably suit you best (You can use Riley too if you're really keen). does your school not let you borrow textbooks? You can buy from Dymocks I think, or check buy/sell thing on this website. I can sell you a Tim Riley textbook for $15.

    Price elasticity of demand

So basically, if a good was elastic, and there was a 1% INCREASE in price, it would lead to a GREATER than 1% decrease in demand (for all normal goods) If it was inelastic, that 1% increase in price would lead to a LESS than 1% decrease in demand And then you can relate it to revenue which is...
