    Did I screw up?

Keep in mind that the med science pathways aren't guaranteed pathways into medicine, although, universities love to advertise and say these degrees are 'stepping stones' into medicine. There are a few disadvantages of it though: if you don't get into medicine successfully (which you need to be...

Any topics you guys want or don't want for the 6-8 marker extended questions?

I'm sure there's plenty of managers in the league who can't speak English that fluently, for e.g the Leeds manager. Having some French players in the team as well (Varane, Pogba), they can assist with the language barriers.

    BoS Chemistry Trial 2021

I haven't looked at the exam yet, but in the 2019 HSC paper, Question 21c) mentions that Tollen's test can be used in that question. So as 2019 was the first year of the new chemistry syllabus, I would think it would be expected knowledge.

    State Rank

If I'm not wrong, I believe a state rank is also based on a student's assessment mark, so they would have to be very confident on a 100 assessment mark.

In all honesty, I don't know if they will be able to sack him right now. They have a game in like a few days (Champions League), so would they be able to get a replacement manager who can have a few training sessions with the team? Probably not

As much as I love Jimmy's posts (sorry Jimmy), I have to agree with you here. Especially during Covid, football is pretty much most of my life right now. I also couldn't care less about the other leagues (as much as they are also a good standard), nothing will beat the Premier League, especially...

Can you ask the hsc supervisors to remind you the time?

Potentially, they might fog up because of wearing glasses. I'm aware some people can have this issue as the air leaves your mask and settles on your glasses. In this case, you can possibly see if they can move you to the front (although I'm pretty sure that would be impractical and not a...

    PIP help !?

There are a lot of people already on other threads who have asked other people to fill out or complete questionnaires, I'm assuming for their PIP in Society and Culture. I'm not too read up on the subject, but perhaps you would want to definitely choose a topic relevant to today's society. I did...

I know it's a bit late, but it's so good the Premier League is back. The international breaks are so annoying, thank god the next one is only in March this year. You also gotta love Ole still managing Manchester United #Oleatthewheel

Looking to go maths tutoring - Talent 100, Dr Du or Mr Ye?

Having done to Talent 100 myself, but for Chemistry, I can say it's very good for students who want to take their time with their learning and learn concepts at their own pace. With Dr Du, it definitely is a lot more fast-paced and quite competitive, so if you are willing and prepared for that...

    Math Advanced Prediction/Thoughts

From the HSC raw marks database, it seems like a 55 scaled to a 75 2 years ago and a 60 scaled to a 78, so really anywhere in the 70s would be my estimate.

    Do externals depend on internals?

I can see why you may have suggested 40:60, but honestly, to avoid any confusion or complaints, I think 50:50 should be what is always used. I could argue though that placing 50% on one set of exams, for which there is every possibility of 'screwing up' (whether it be due to a mind blank...

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Like for example, if there was a 1 mark question in a maths exam (not MC), then you would either get 0 or 1 for it; half marks aren't actually awarded in the marking of the exam. Obviously, the percentage conversion will be decimals (like if you get 67,68,69), but the raw mark will be a whole...

    Math Ext 1 Predictions/Thoughts

Just for clarification, I believe there is no half marks awarded in the HSC, but someone can let me know if they do in fact provide half marks.

    Feeling Guilty for Being Selfish

A person in our year last year, a week before the 3U exam, set up a discord account live (don't know the ins and outs of discord, lol), where he was going through difficult topics. I think he ended up getting either 100 or 99 for both, something mental, and there were about 100 people who were...

How many 'words' from NONSENSE has a consonant as the first letter and a vowel as the last letter?

If you can double check as well that my reasoning is right, that would help. Perms and coms never used to be one of my strongest 3U topics.

    Do externals depend on internals?

That's true ... in some schools, students with high internal ranks may not try as much for externals, either due to how the moderation process works, or in this year's case, because of the stressful year it has been, which I can say has definitely affected everyone.

    opinions on a quote

From quite a basic viewpoint, the first part (our identity has already been chosen for us), this could refer to our gender or our background in which we have been brought up in. Basically, when you are first born, you cannot control your life or anything at that stage. However, as you grow and...

How many 'words' from NONSENSE has a consonant as the first letter and a vowel as the last letter?

    So I think you can consider the different cases as mentioned above. So if you have N,O --> you have N, N, S, S, E, E left. You can arrange this in (6! / [2! * 2! * 2!]) because of the repeated letters. If you have N,E --> you have O, N, S, E, N, S left. You can arrange this in (6! / [2! * 2!])...
