No, all preferences are considered equally; they consider the first pref first if you can't get into that they move down to 2nd if not that, then 3rd, 4th so on.
In my opinion UTS and Macq are the same in terms of business. Macq maybe slightly more prestigious as it is ranked higher. How travelling affects your marks really depends on you, would you be willing to wake up early in the morning, travel for 2 hours to get to a 9 am lecture?
I say take UTS business. Macquarie's exams are known to be more rigorous than UTS or even UNSW, thus less likely to achieve higher marks. Also, like you said location is a big factor which could affect marks as well.
In regards to transferring universities, does it look unusual on academic transcript if you have repeated 2 subjects at another uni. Besides the disadvantage of paying for the course again, is there anything else I should be concerned about?
I thought we had to enrol on campus, but I've just done it online :S Anyways I've enrolled in all my subjects for the year btw this is Bachelor of Business :D Now I wonder why I can't access my uts email...
I'm doing B commerce-prof accounting at Macquarie in the hopes of becoming a CPA (maybe CA but heard its very difficult). How difficult is it? what more do you need to do besides getting an accounting degree? Do most just end up as bookkeepers?
What "doors" does it actually open?
Thanks.
I am looking to do accounting, but as I have heard the subjects can get dull so I want to combine it with something a bit more interesting (Subjects that would give me a break from accounting ones). I was previously looking to combine prof accounting with applied finance, but figured I might not...
Agreed, Vanessa is super annoying. Omg Chuck in that suit! Chair looked divine together, couldn't be happier with the ending! Rachel Bilson's little moment was funny too haha.
If i were to study at Macq it would take me approx 2 hours to get there everyday; would it be unrealistic of me to think I could still cope socially/academically?
UNSW's degrees in psychology are pretty reputable, so I'd say its worth it. But keep in mind B psychological science does not have honours included so you'd have to maintain distinctions throughout the degree to be accepted into Honours.
