    COVID-19 and school closures

University will indeed proceed as normal for now. With confirmed cases at USyd and UNSW, I am sure there are cases in UTS, Macquarie etc. They are just currently undetected. I can't believe they are advising schools and universities to continue, it is like the government is just waiting for this...

Seriously - why the hell is English compulsory?

Many interesting opinions. It was a pleasure to read them all. For the original poster – if you cannot change the game then dedicate yourself to playing the game well. I do think English should be compulsory but I also think Maths should be added as well.

    Epping boys just got corona

I never support overreactions (such as the panic buying of toilet paper) but I do think the Australian government is under-reacting here. They have advised the students to stay home over the weekend but no strict enforcements on their siblings or parents etc. I understand they are trying to work...

Bachelor of Science vs Bachelor of Medical Science

The entry requirements are often a reflection of how popular the degree is, as opposed to how practical or popular they are with employers. B Science offers much more flexible and freedom in allowing you to 'construct' the content of your own degree whereas B Medical Science is much more narrow...

My Current situation regarding Standard English...

Since you are in Year 11 and you are topping the class, there's a good chance your school might let you move up to English Advanced. Definitely ask, show your enthusiasm and that you are willing to work hard. Some schools are quite bad at this and won't let students move up if they think you...
