Oh I see, I used to really like Maths but years of putting up with my teachers (who couldn't do an equation without using the textbook) made me lose all interest and passion so I stopped trying at all and dropped it as soon as I went into Year 12.

So I have a question, does everyone here who does Maths (and seemingly does well in it) enjoy Maths? Or do you do like 3u and 4u just for the sake of ATAR and stuff?

Stuffed up half yearlies a lot need advice

I mean, if you try really hard and make sure you do really well in your remaining assessment trials and HSC it is possible but I don't think it is very likely. It would be better to know your School rank and the ranks in your subjects though.

Yeah I just think it is a really good subject all around, and yeah for Prelim we did... Vampires? It had something to do with Gothic Horror but it was about the Vampire myth and how it evolved over time like Dracula -> Buffy The Vampire Slayer -> Twilight -> Related material (For me I did The...

Hopefully it will all work out then, she will lose her marks and she will never do that again.

I'm glad to know that there are others out there that didn't do Physics! I personally love EX1 I find it to be quite fun, at least with all of our classroom discussions. Though I do really like the teacher so that may influence the way I view the subject. We do Science Fiction for our course...

Bio is my favourite subject, tied with English... Food Tech is probably objectively my 'best' subject though. We are doing Communications :spin:

Yeah, I am open to the idea of being a barrister, I just doubt myself. Even though I love debating and public speaking, I did it as a way to get over my shyness and fear of public speaking (and here I am now as the captain and having won awards hahaha) but I still sometimes get those inherent...

Witnessed cheating. What do I do?

I honestly can't say what to do in this situation. Clearly you are the one who is being unfairly disadvantaged and something should be done about that, but you have no way of determining how the teacher will act or what kind of repercussions she will face, if any. I have a similar situation in...

I want to pursue a career in law, though I don't know whether or not I want to be a barrister, but I don't think I would... Even though I love public speaking and stuff like that.

Yeah it just depends for me, like if they are both really long assignments I'll tackle them over different days but as a general I just like to be done so I don't have to feel any stress or guilt.

That's unfortunate, yeah my team has had to deal with some pretty lousy adjudicators in the past, we haven't even done our first debate yet this year because both the adjudicator and/or the other team have postponed our debate FIVE times! It's getting really annoying.

I like to do my assignments all at once no mater how long it takes. I then continue to edit away at it whenever something else needs to be added or taken away and I fix it up a bit. Idk, that's just what works best for me.

Yeah I captain my school debate team currently so I may be able to help, I guess my biggest tip would be to be prepared. So, if the topic is education I tend to look up a bunch of statistics related to the topic that you may be able to draw into a debate to make it stand out more. Which speaker...

I normally complete my assignments 1-2 weeks before the due date so that I don't feel stressed and so that I have time to receive feedback (if able).
