I certianly 'try' to hahaha, but i can bet you guys are better than me. Out of curiousity are there other people out there who tend to write certain sentences they think don't make 100% sense or are grammatically flawed but think "wth" and continue writing? (in exams)

So I do realise that when you do the hsc course for math, 30% of the exam can be tested on prelim outcomes... I was wondering if a personal will 'struggle' if they don't really perform well in prelim. Like is it 100% essential that you achieve well in the prelim so you can do the hsc subject...

If I did my hsc maths in 2010, and keep my score, will my mark for the calculation of my atar be compared to 2010's cohort or 2011's cohort (this year). Im not sure if this makes sense :S try to answer anyway :)

It doesnt seem harder. i dont know, i think my teacher is just scaring us. His reason was: "you won't have much past papers to study because they wouldn't be part of the new syllabus"

oh ok thanks. my legal studies teacher is scaring us though cause he said that during 2001, the syllabus changed for legal studies making it hard for people to get band 6 (only 1% did that year) now in 2011 it has changed again...so im so scared. i really want a 90+

oh really? but sometimes in some subjects no one gets a band 6 even AFTER they align etc. So what if the highest WAS a hsc mark of 89? will they still be put down- atar wise?

Say for example everybody performed low in a certain hsc subject examination due to a hard exam. Like, the highest scores in the whole state were band 5. Will the highest person in the state (say who got 89), still be rewarded in relation to rank? Will it affect the atar just because its low?

During 2001 the syllabii for many subjects changed. In Legal studies, it has said to have impacted grades as only 1% (approx) achieved band 6 now in 2011, it has changed again. So does a syllabus changed really impact on the grades? Like will on average, marks be low because many can't study...
