The cast changes every two seasons. The season airing now is season 4, with the same cast from season 3. The "new" season is season 5, and yes that has a new cast. Episode 2 was alright - looks like the acting has gotten better.

Yes but there are other ways of judging whether a country is backward. Saudi Arabia and Qatar for example, rich oil countries. Both of these countries kill people for Apostasy (Leaving the religion). Qatar jails/fines for homosexuality, and Saudi Arabia either kills/jails/fines/whips for it...
