    How to cope with...

If the OP is fairly competent and does well in all her subjects, she will be able to achieve over 90. There isn't much difference between achieving over 90 ATAR with your subjects, and achieving over 90 ATAR with her subjects. Essentially, it really depends on individual strengths/weaknesses.

    The best movie lines

Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it's told. Catherine Martin: Please mister, let me go! My family will give you anything you want! Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

    What you hate about UNSW

Yeah, it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I was sitting in the very last row, and my neck felt numb about halfway through the lecture/info talk. So put my hand on my neck and I felt something slimy, so I pulled it off and threw it on the floor next to me. I was pretty freaked out at the time...

    is art a bludge

Visual Arts is not a bludge subject if you want to do well. I dropped the subject in Year 10 not because I didn't enjoy art, but because I knew the effort and sacrifice that would be necessary for the major work in Year 12.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Because saying something is not "natural" when it occurs in animals in nature is incorrect. Yes, murder and rape are natural as they also occur in nature. However, they negatively harm others, and therefore they are morally wrong. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it is morally...

    Homosexuality in Australia

There's no logical opposition to homosexuality in this entire thread.

    Homosexuality in Australia

If your secular arguments are logical and coherent, you should be able to summarise them in one post, or at the very least reply to the other questions I asked in my reply to your vague and unconvincing reasons. You not being bothered to argue your point really only shows how unsubstantiated...

    Homosexuality in Australia

    1. What is the public health issue? I'm guessing HIV/AIDS? If so, how is unprotected homosexual sex any different than unprotected heterosexual sex? HIV/AIDS is a huge problem in parts of Africa regardless of sexuality, and is mostly due to a lack of health resources and safe sex education. 2...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I have a question for you Name_Taken: If you were not religiously inclined, would you still have an opposition to homosexuality? Would you still vote against same-sex marriages, etc? I would just like to hear some of your secular and logical arguments on this issue, something that people that...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Firstly, there's no quantitative way to measure happiness, so your point about freedom making people no more (or less) happier is moot. I didn't even bring up the issue of "happiness" as it is largely irrelevant to the issue at hand. And are you seriously suggesting that no fault divorce has...

Should u really do your major work based on what you're doing in Adv/Ext 1?

It's highly recommended you do link your major work with advanced/extension English. It shows the markers that you're able to extend upon issues you've already studied, and come to more complex (and less superficial) realizations about that particular topic or issue. My major work was an essay...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Firstly, the church alienates itself, because it is a static and regressive institution. The church can not blame society for progressing and beginning to recognise the value of a union of two people, regardless of gender. If the church wishes to be free from pressure to perform same-sex...
