Need Advice: To drop or not to drop?

If you're doing advanced science at uni, then you are forced to do advanced maths. My friend doing it said his lecturer assumed all the people in his class did 4unit so he skipped over the complex numbers chapter, and when 2-3 people complained he just ignored them...so they've been working...

Need Advice: To drop or not to drop?

If you want to do science, you have two options, drop maths now and really struggle at uni next year Bridging courses are very full on, cramming a years worth of work into about 10 full on days I say, especially for science, harden up, do maths, i would say if you're going to drop something...

recognition of "traditional landowners", aboriginal seperatism

on one side of the coin, we came here, pretended they didn't exist, and claimed it all as our own. On the other side, they hadn't really progressed much technologically and junk, so if they had been connected to the mainland and made contact earlier, they probably would've been wiped out completely

    Dropping from Mathematics to General?

There's always room for improvement, the majority of my friends went from doing pretty poorly in 2unit + 3unit (50% average) in year 11, to doing reasonably well in year 12 (70-80% average), so it all depends on the commitment of the person. If you're on the 10 unit express, then i would say...

    Dropping from Mathematics to General?

No. You don't even know what you're talking about, dropping down to do "better" in a subject is not the way to go. If you put the effort in, 2 unit is not that difficult, its when you get into the cbf mindframe that you don't put the effort in, and as a result dont do as well. Especially since...

    Dropping from Mathematics to General?

You can drop down at anytime, but you can't move from general -> adv maths Also, any university with a maths prerequisite requires adv maths, general is not considered as basic level maths. If you want to do engineering, maths, economics, science or even commerce at uni you should stick with 2unit

    Should I drop 2U Maths?

don't be a twat and drop the subject simply because you tried for 2 months and found it a bit difficult. Remember, general maths won't meet any prerequisites at uni, you will need 2unit or higher. It's really not that hard if you commit yourself and want to learn it

    Should I drop 2U Maths?

Well obviously you can study for maths if you don't understand the questions, re read it all, don't just jump into questions, figure out what the chapter is about, why and how everything happens, and THEN do questions. comprehension is the biggest step in maths When i didn't understand things...
