    Incremental Compilation

This is not good. Davis textbook says my definition. I looked up on net, got a similar definition. I remember asking my teacher this, and got the same definition. But if heinemann says that...Argh. EDIT: I am really thinking that perhaps incremental compilation varies depending on language...

    2000 question 10b

Wow, I have no idea wtf i did. But I found an answer in about 5 lines for part ii. of T = -8/3 Here is what I did, and to be honest, I was just fooling around: You have k/T, k/(T+2), k/(T+3.5) This is simply substituting into dx/dt = k/t from part i. This can be done because x = 0, x = 1, x =...

    2000 question 10b

Yeah but part i isn't hard as such, just depends on how you think about it. Just had dinner, so I will try part ii for the second time now. (still haven't looked at your answer)

    2000 question 10b

Got part i straight away, Just tried part ii, and after 5 minutes, found that T = T + 3.5 Methinks time to try a different approach :)

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

I deleted it off my computer during hsc ^.^ Too tempting.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

Oh yeah, of course. Sorry not looking properly, had a bad day. But thanks, I never knew you could do that. Makes my awesome question somewhat less awesome.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

    I see, however: d/dx[1/(1 - x)] = -(1/(1-x)^2)

I too missed what you are saying.

what type of algorithms are we expected to write up

Yes I did mean binary search. My mistake, little tired yesterday. EDIT: However, i have done a trial or two with a binary selection!! =D

    Quick Question...

Yeah I think that is what he is saying. He was just laughing that he didn't get that part. But mm, reasonable question. I often look for the harder solution first.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

Nothing is wrong with dota. Just when people with pudge in their avatar play it... =S Whats your ba name? I will play you after hsc.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

    Hmm =S Back to dota..

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

Yes, the main part is seeing that it can actually be divided into infinite geometric series. Finding the limiting sum of each of these gives a geometric series of limiting sums. Finding the limiting sum of the new series gives you your answer.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

Check my original post, I added it. But yes, you have the correct answer :) Pretty simple once you see that.

    2unit Question 10; Limiting sums.

    From Baulkham hills trial 2008: 10c) It is known that the geometric series 1 + x + x^2 + x^3 + ... has a limiting sum. i) What are the possible values of x? ii) Observe that; 1 = 1 2x = x + x 3x^2 = x^2 + x^2 + x^2 4x^3 = x^3 + x^3 + x^3 + x^3 By studying the above arrangement, or...

I will post in new thread, it deserves its own thread. I love this question =D

    Series Q

Yep :) EDIT: r does not need to be <1 to use the normal Sum to n formula. I had a really good limiting sums question lying around here somewhere, I will post it up when I find it, and see how well you can use it =P

Read what I said... -_- I know what you meant.. The exact ratios are based on triangles. But yes, the ones you are referring to are in degrees..

    Volume

Now. You do the whole integral when you are finding the difference between two curves. You split it up when they cross over. You also split it up when you are finding the area between one curve and an axis. You must do separate integrals above and below the axis, and make sure you absolute...
