Texts in Time; Frankenstein/Blade Runner essay

"changes in values and perspectives" just refers to the change in context (cos context is made up of values/perspectives of that time). I think it just wants you to refer more specifically to contextual VALUES and contextual PERSPECTIVES. Frankenstein: Values: nature, emotion/passion...

Skrzynecki - In the Folk Museum - question!

I'm a bit confused about the 4th stanza: In the Town Hall next door They sing to Christ - Of the Sabbath Day and the Future of Man. I try to memorize The titles of books While "Eternity, Eternity" Is repeated from a reader's text. What is that stanza supposed to mean? My ideas (grasping at...

    Insane work load

Depends on the Law subject too. For Equity & Trusts and Real Property, you can do well with minimal reading (if you go to the lectures). Same with Commercial Law (because the lecture slides are pretty comprehensive). Also remember that Law subjects (with a few exceptions) don't require you to...

Just PMed you. No problem: Injured their hand and can't write their own notes - prefer to have someone else's exam notes rather than solely rely on a notetaker. Don't want to spend the lecture frantically writing what the lecturer is saying/showing. Easier to already have notes, that you can...

    Help on belonging exam question

My thoughts on the essay question and the concepts: The search for belonging is essentially the attempt to locate oneself within the world. To locate, to find where we belong, we must "triangulate" ourselves with respect to who we are (presently), where we come from (the past) and where we...

    St Patrick's College - question

Thanks. I originally thought maybe on the "last day there", he was finally begin to appreciate it there because of "our departing intentions" (which shows a sense of belonging) and the "fervently". But I see what you mean, that would just be contrary to the last lines of the poem.

    St Patrick's College - question

Impressed by the uniforms Of her employer's sons, Mother enrolled me at St Pat's With never a thought To fees and expenses - wanting only "What was best". St Patrick's College - question

Thanks - that kinda makes sense. As in he closes his eyes because he knows it off by heart (rote learning). I'm just a bit confused because of "fervently", which suggests passion - not boredom...

    St Patrick's College - question

In the lines: With closed eyes I fervently counted The seventy-eight pages Of my Venite Adoremus, Are the "closed eyes" supposed to show his boredom as he waits for the 78 pages of prayer to pass during Mass? Or is it supposed to show his reverence?

You get 2 weeks mid-semester break (for Arts) and 1 week (for Law). Then you get about a month in between semesters (probably a bit more depending on when you exam finishes). Hours are good.
