How big is your work? I'm planning to paint in school and only drive my work back home by the end of term. I don't want to look like a fool holding boards on the bus and train lol.

Yes lol, despite I got 90+ in term 4 assessment, the teacher still thinks that I can't get band 6 lol I was told in front of my face that I can't get a band 6 although I'm ranked 1st in my school lol since the school rank is low

Lol, it's not the opinions of other students. It's the teachers who think that we can't get band 6

Yeah haha. I'm highly informed, is just that I have to be mentally strong and not be affected by the opinions of "band 5 is the max you can get". I hope to break the record with all band 6's and be the first student in my schools history to get all rounders lol and also be dux and get 99+ atar...

Low ranked school: teachers don't have faith in students achieving a band 6. You have to be positive that you can achieve a band 6 and not be affected by others opinions

We are haha. I've painted a few layers. Some of the texture paints at school aren't working, which sucks. So I'm going to let the teacher order it for me haha. Salt wash? Wow, that sounds interesting....

If your canvas is unprimed, then use gesso to prime it. If it's primed, then don't worry about it

Yes lol, she's teaching a low scaling subject. She always complains that I spend a lot of time in English, Economics, Maths etc and neglect her subject

You'll be surprised that a lot of school teachers don't know how the system works LOL. I remembered one of my teachers she told me that all subjects are equal. That's not true! Scaling causes all subjects NOT to be equal

Ok... So you haven't stretched your canvas yet or..? My initial plan during the holidays was to prime all 3 boards, and then start drawing on the board and painting a bit of the board. But now, I've only finished priming all 3 today.
