Nothing, it's just that modern is a pretty easy, straight forward subject that I'm confident I could've scored a b6 had I done the exam in y11. That way I'd only have to worry about 8u now :O

i really wish i knew about accelerated subjects in y10 :( i would've given modern a shot.

They get the final mark (scaled, aligned, HSC- whatever it's called) out of 100 then make it a mark out of 50. (at least I'm pretty sure)

And some have them after the holidays :angry:

Read over the actual text until you memorise the gist of it. After that your notes just serve to jog your memory. At least that's how the humanities work, not sure about sciences.

I handwrite my notes using my syllabus, text book(s) and any other material i've been given. My dot points are usually pretty thorough so I always go through a second time and rewrite them with less info. I've tried to use the MQ/Jacaranda type of stuff but I have trouble making notes from...

Any decent teacher will fail you if you argue Shakespeare is presenting blacks negatively- sure, Othello (the Moor) is manipulated, but so are the other white characters.
