    Whether scaling is 'good' or not, it's a fact of the HSC. You can either use it to your advantage, or continue whining about how it's unfair that it's harder to get 99.95 whilst doing history, geography, dance and textiles.

    USYD or UNSW Science?

    All these ratings mean jack when you're comparing two excellent institutions like USYD and UNSW. Both will have high quality teaching, obviously. USyd just offers are more vibrant uni life imo, and is located more conveniently. It doesn't really matter, go to the one you want.

    (on my phone) May be true, but a minor selling point at best. The research opportunities are sweet as jakaran pointed out, which really does come into use later down the track. In any case, it doesn't really matter which med school you go to save for these rather minor (in the long run)...

    lol'ed. The vast majority (if not all) the people in my program had offers to undergraduate medicine across the board in Australia. Unbonded, with scholarships in most cases. tl;dr: umad?

    Some fair points, but I still think the ability to graduate with an MPhil in no extra time is awesome. The scholarship is nice, and the three year undergraduate program's allowing me to do quite a lot of part-time work, something I wouldn't do during MBBS. There are so many factors at play here...
