    ***Does HCl Hydrolyses in Water?***

You're welcome =]. A hydrolysis reaction is any where water is 'lysed' = 'destroyed' = SPLIT. An example of one relevant to the HSC would be the breakage of bonds in an organic polymer - a water splits to 'fill' in the radical ends of the newly split molecule.

How do you answer a "Do You Agree" question?

Yes. Don't use 'strongly' unless you're 100% confident your essay doesn't antagonise your viewpoint at all though.

    ***Does HCl Hydrolyses in Water?***

Your understanding of the word 'hydrolysis' is incorrect. Please see the wikipedia article, it shoudl explain it for you. HCl + H20 -> Cl- + H30+ is NOT a hydrolysis equation. It's an ionisation/B-L acid equation.

Which school do you go to? Internal marks mean nothing until I can confirm the competency of your faculty. I've marked essays where teachers have been giving 18-19/20 in school, which I swear wouldn't get a C-range in the HSC. Careful!

How do you answer a "Do You Agree" question?

Valid point regarding the issue with expression, I yield on that note. But it's a price you have to pay. I'd argue that someone with some level of literary skill could work their way around it. Perhaps say "I agree as" <Insert question in terms of module rubric>. Dunno Absolutezero, you could...

One cannot answer this question. It depends on whether you're able to write a cohesively structured essay using however many 'ideas' you choose.

How do you answer a "Do You Agree" question?

They do if you'd like more than 12/20 for your response. You *must* answer the question clearly and straight off the bat in your first line, and this must echo throughout your essay. You can agree/disagree, that's fine, but you need to take a stance and support this stance through your essay...

This means you're doing it right. Remember, your points should NOT be "consequences of immoral science", they SHOULD be: "<The core of the module A rubric is demonstrated through the exploration of> "consequences of immoral science". "consequences of immoral science" discussed on its own will...

How do you answer a "Do You Agree" question?

+1. Absolute just presented a perfect example of how excellent expression leads to a shorter essay that not only sounds better, but allows for easier sculpting to the question.

How much would a raw mark of 90 for Chem be scaled up to?

+1. 90/100 IS INSANE. With exams featuring harder marking criteria I can clearly see the merit in achieving high-80s.
