    Anyone into photography?

Yep, UNSW photoclub has nearly 500 members iirc (not all are active ofc). UTS and USYD has a photoclub as well but don't doubt the new south. Search UNSW Photoclub on fb if you want to see the type of events we have.

    Anyone into photography?

Not too familiar with the nikon catalogue. In other news, i got rekt yesterday at unsw photodash 2014 without a general purpose lens (only had my 17-40L and 50mm with me). Due to this, i'm probably going to buy a tamron sp 24-70mm f/2.8 VC soon. I really can't justify spending 2k for the canon...

IMP - Prelim to HSC Economics

Good job. To all the prelim kids, if you're struggling with these dot points currently good luck for the hsc because this knowledge is the foundation for the difficult concepts you'll learn later on.

To do a law based uni course?!

People forget this when it should be another major factor. It isn't just the additional 20k of HECS fees (additional 2 full time yrs of study if you're deciding between straight comm and comm/law) but the fact you're foregoing 40-50k per yr in gross salary. By the time you've graduated this...

Are HSC economics exams becoming easier?

No, in fact they are getting more difficult. Look at some of the 4/5 mark short answer questions in 2004 and compare them to 2013, you'll notice previously a lot was focused on basic content regurgitation (explain, describe etc). More recently a stronger emphasis on analysis based questions...

manfrotto 055xprob Wish i spent an extra $200 on the carbon version because the weight is a killer. It isn't as bad now though because i bought one of these off ebay ($15) so it is much easier to carry.

I don't want to risk my camera falling off lol. Additionally, putting it on a ledge really limits your composition choices so i'd recommend investing in a moderately priced tripod, stay away from cheap crap.

I tried astro once but i failed because of focusing issues lol. Next time i go to the Blue Mountains and give it a shot with the technique nerd taught me.

70-200mm f4 IS. A f2.8 would be better for this situation however weight and price are a factor, moreso weight because i always take my 70-200 with me. Nope, i don't have an ND. For the last 2 yrs i've been procrastinating my purchase of a LEE slot-in filter set but it is still very expensive...
