    Preparing for Year 12

Damn, very nice. Going against the norm in a unique way, quite relatable subjects if I were to take 4U. Too bad its that subject where I need to dedicate too much time into it, for scaling to be on my side. Also, I came to the conclusion of buying Chemistry and Physics Strive Textbooks instead...

    Preparing for Year 12

True true! Additionally, it felt like Business Studies was trying to "catch up" with Economics content lol. Every few classes, our business teacher is like, "Have you guys heard of economies of scale for business operations? *class* ... "Alright, for the people who don't do economics...".

    Preparing for Year 12

Is Business Studies really THAT dry in Year 12? I'm already planning to drop it in Yr 12 because honestly... I tried to sit down and study for it, just didn't work out lol. Also, if you were to choose, would you drop Chemistry or Business Studies? (Taking into account scaling, cohort, interest...

Ahh, very nice. Also, Same question as above, Strive Textbooks or ATAR___Notes? (If you were forced to choose one).

Damn, few wrong solutions?! Kinda leaning towards Strive textbooks instead lol, if you had to choose only one, Strive or ATAR__Notes? (Hypothetically). Honestly, I'll see if I want to spend more than $50 from what I'm already paying for tutoring.

Should I buy Strive Textbooks for Physics and Chemistry, or ATAR___Notes Topic Tests for Physics and Chemistry? Both are the same price i think.

Yeah, I think my school has Pearson Chemistry textbooks. Also, did you buy the Strive Physics Textbook or your school provides it?

    Textbook recommendations

Yep, my school uses Pearson as well :D If my school library doesn't have it, I'll have to think about buying it, we'll see. Also, do you use the Topic Test A___Notes books or heard anything good/bad about them?

    Textbook recommendations

Yeah, I would have gone with those content-hard textbooks but my school wants us to use In Focus. I was planning on using Pearson for questions, good decision or In Focus and ATAR____Notes Topic tests/KISS Q's better? Also, I'm planning on buying the ATAR___Notes Topic Test for Chem and Phys...

    help! yr 12 subject selection

    1) Chem does not scale bad, its in the top 5-10 HSC subjects that scale the best if scaling is that important to you. 2) 4U is much harder than you think, and what other people say if you want to have a balanced study lifestyle. I was overestimating 4U and realised its difficultly just before...

Damn bro, thank you very much. Also, I just realised but why is the Pearson Chemistry Textbook such a GOSH DANG HUGE FILE! Like, even google drive can't open it 🤣 If you have a more compressed file or a good reason for that, much appreciated bro.

YOOO My guy! Specificagent1, you made my day bro. Also just curious but, do you have textbooks for HSC Physics? And you seem to know your stuff pretty well, so as a Year 11 Student, can I ask how much more difficult HSC Chemistry gets after Preliminary? As well as your study techniques/methods...

I'm probably going to borrow both In Focus and Pearson then lol. My teacher and class use In Focus so we can get a better grip on the ideas learnt, then if I have spare time or need consolidation, I'll use Pearson questions. Appreciate that icycledough 👍

For Chemistry, In Focus or Pearson? From what I know and experienced, Pearson goes too much into depth but gives really good questions, whereas In Focus provides good explanations but not enough in-depth questions.

I recently got my year 11 subjects and would like to get some advice

YOOO, your initial subjects are legit what I'm taking lol. Good choices indeed. Honestly, Chemistry scales much better than PDHPE and is (biased) a better future option if you're interested in Engineering. My opinion arises from the cohort (GENERALLY chem cohorts strive to do better than PDHPE...

What English tutors do you guys recommend (English advanced)?

Ahh, that's a whole another story then. My bad lol. Yes, if you aren't very good at English, definitely find private tutors on like gumtree or get your parents to ask around. Its better to do it in-person. Public tutoring for English is only necessary for a ton of marking, resources and more...
