Not really. The only benefit of doing both eco and business is that the content links slightly for Microeconomic policies in eco and HR in business, specifically related to wage determination and employment contracts. There isn't much content linked apart from that in the whole course.

Getting a role in finance is much more competitive than teaching. Don't expect to sit back in uni and get get a job when you graduate, for any decent role in finance you need amazing marks, work experience and extra curricular activities to even get into the interview phase.
