    Uadel vs UNE

You're settled in at UNE stay there, as someone who has moved from a rural town to the city I find it HORRIBLE I hate the city but it's not too far for me to travel home If I desire. At the end of the day no one gives two shits where you got your medical degree.

    Reading Lecture Slides before Lecture

I don't agree, if you are reading the lecture notes on complex topics you don't understand there is really no point reading about it before. I skim over them and read more later.

I want to be a Psychiatrist, or do I? I've had somewhat of a roller-coaster life..

Re: I want to be a Psychiatrist, or do I? I've had somewhat of a roller-coaster life. I would suggest as above but chase doing what you love and enjoy not what pays the best. I assume they would have had you on Lithium?

14 hour shift in medicine FML

That is total ignorance, why is it myself and the person who taught me NEVER had to take blood from the wrist? Because we always found somewhere else being someone who is 'fairly' new should not be taking anything from the wrist what happens when you hit a nerve and the patient can no longer...

    UNSW Guaranteed Entry

And that makes it better? I declined an offer from UNSW and went with UTS. UNSW have a higher cut off and they do not even have all their degrees accredited. Time to get the elitist rubbish out of your head.

Gap year(s) are great my time away essentially planned out my career I found what I loved doing, got work experience and now I'm doing it. I disagree, a well rounded nurse who has 20+ years cannulation experience is what you need but I suppose there is a lot of big headed people who don't want to be taught by someone 'lower' these type of people will have a VERY hard time in medicine and can expect one hell of a time. You are right...

    Reverse Racism - Student Clubs

I've had this issue that has been bugging me for a while, I don't expect this to be a popular topic with many people on here but I'm going to have my say. Going through the student club societies there are so many listed as "Chinese X Society" X being Accounting, Science whatever. If I made a...

14 hour shift in medicine FML

Beyond me why more people don't go rural, perhaps I'm being biased because I'm from a rural area and have seen all too frequently how those hard working JMO's sit on their backside and repeat order blood tests on dying patients for their own benefits. No, but seriously who wouldn't want to...

    Mcdonalds or Hungry Jacks?

When you work in a place like that you soon find out that if you have the option to avoid contact with customers take it and run. I'm being biased because when I worked at KFC we had to take orders and pack them. It wouldn't be as bad now with secondary teams packing the orders after you take...
