Got two assessment notifications today. Just to add to the other 2 I already have.
But I go to the snow next week and I'm so excited!! But it also means I have a week less to work on assessments...
Yeah. I'm basically just really stuck up. [emoji14]
But judging that the piano performance before that I broke down in tears, I consider it an achievement. [emoji14]
Piano duets are hard work but SO rewarding. I would show you our performance if I could I'm that proud of it. But the only snippet I have is horrible quality but the entire thing was filmed by school and I really want to see it to see how we went.
I'm still learning piano skills [emoji14] My...
Yeah. I'm perciveering. A friend and I learnt a piano duet of Wings of Freedom which is possibly one of the hardest things I've ever learnt but we spent a term with hour long practices together every week and our own patctices at home and we got to perform it last term and it was so awesome to...
You make me so jealous!!
And don't worry about the text. When you like someone you micro-analyse everything. (Believe me, I do it too.) I'm sure he just blanked and didn't know what to say to not make him look like an idiot in front of you. [emoji14]
Fair enough. I wish I had English tutoring. I'm not going too badly but compared to the state I'm horrible.
Umm. Well my school was around 550 last year. So if you can beat that. [emoji14]
Top 100? 200? That's pretty good in my view. [emoji14]
Hey. You're the one who quit tutoring.[emoji39] Besides, you go to a high-ish ranking school don't you? You'll probably go better than me just for that.
That came out harsher than I meant. But there is a point there. He still has engineering and maths classes to plan and he doesn't spend a lot of time helping me.
But I do understand how I may have been a little hypocritical before.
Yeah. I see your point...
Ignore everything I said earlier. I'm just going to annoy my dad all the time to help me ace my HSC when he has an entire class to worry about.
This made me feel a lot better. Thank you. I'll just do my best and (hopefully) ace the HSC. Also, to my knowledge, no one else at my school uses BOS so I think I have an advantage moral support wise. [emoji14]
You'll be fine!! When are your trials?
Yeah. That's what I'm hoping. [emoji14] Although I'm actually looking forward to 4 unit because the people who I know are doing it are the topping maths currently (I still don't know how I'm going so well in extension but coming 5th in advanced.) So I'm looking forward to a competitive year...
Yeah. It's really confusing. I suppose I'm just going to have to work my butt off and just try to match him.
It's also no help that everyone thinks he's a prodigy (he's the only accelerated student I've known of at my school) and we're forever being compared to him.
Anyway...
On a lighter...
So this has been bugging me for a while. Is it fair for someone who's done accelerated 3U maths this year to be able to do 4U with us next year?
I understand that it's a different course and I'm probably just annoyed cause there's no way I'll get a better ranking than him. But it still seems...
My maths teacher kinda scares me and I don't mind anyway.. I usually just get through the work and do extra out of another textbook or study for exams.
