yeah I'm in a similar scenario as you right now although my teacher teaches the content in half the detail needed for a band 6, if you want to drop chem go ahead but if you want to keep it buy online notes and other resources, i recommend HSC in the Holidays for like $40-45 you can get really...
Thanks, I'm considering chem In uni because I like the concepts behind it and potential careers it offers but I hate the long response Q's and memorization involved so it's a bit of a relief
btw what did the 2nd in the state person come in the uni (out of how many people)
I've heard that UNSW offers double majors for art and some other faculties but what about the science faculty. I'm interested in a double major in Chemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology.
-Is this an option?
thanks
My chem teacher told my class about one student she used to teach who got a band 5 in chem but won a university prize for chem, how did someone with a band 5 (albeit a high one-88) get a university prize for chem? Shouldn't they have gotten at least a band 6?
in bio make sure you dont just memorise info, make sure you actually understand it and learn every syllabus point in extra detail, more than covered in class. When answering Q's (higher mark e.g.- 5-8 mark) include diagrams and examples- this is what gets marks.
go to a school with similar rank and always 1-2 people in the 97-98 ATAR range with several others in the 93-96 range so yeah its possible but those people study really hard, also if your at a low ranking school theres a chance the teachers will not cover the syllabus in enough detail and only...
What happens if you get a really low internal mark/ rank and are ranked last in the bottom of your class but you get a really high external mark and get highest mark out of your class (rank 1), is your hsc mark scaled up toward the external or is an average between the 2 calculated?
not in uni or anything but ive been to lectures and open/ info days at both and in terms of the facilities. UNSW is better.
-i attended a lecture in UTS "super lab" and it was kinda over rated, classes taught on a monitor, listened to lecture through headphones connected to a large system...
here ya go, this includes all the info required based on syllabus and some extra (correct me if I'm wrong)--> hope it makes it easier for you

1. already have questioned it but wont do anything about it unless its a hsc assessment, all of those were year 11 stuff
2.pencil-yes, neat-others in my class say its fine, labels and headings-yes, axis and scale-not needed

I can try, 1 exam I cannot find (a practical test), the others I can get photos of but my phone is pretty shit (from 2011 and got shit for being a bad phone back then), will post them soon
i need help on what to do in regards to my chemistry teacher, my teacher seems to mark me down for stuff that isn't chemistry e.g.-
-lost marks because my writing is to small, even though every other kid in my class can read it and say its neat (lost 4 marks in one test 3 in another)
-lost...
