converting to pdf means that the layout etc won't change when you send it to your friends :) that's what makes it so useful.. look for a pdf conversion program on google. there are a few freeware ones out there. they usually make you 'print' to a file :)

Yeah, the network should still work with both computers connected to it. Make sure you have 'ip is automatically assigned' in your network settings. What switch do you have? (I don't know about cable modems, sorry)

Connect to a different austnet server. Some of them have banned specific IPs.. or entire hosts.

hmm. i always thought switches worked like thus: Modem -> Switch Switch -> C1 Switch -> C2 The way you have it set up implies that C2 will be connected iff C1 is "on"

Oh, I dunno about LCDs burning images in? I've only ever heard of that problem with CRTs. Besides, you SHOULDN'T have any problems if your OS makes your monitor automatically turn off/hibernate/whatever the word is after a set period of inactivity. Right?
