Just curious, what exactly happens if someone fails the Foundations EOC exam? I know that Foundations doesn't count to the overall Phase 1 mark, but would you have to repeat the whole course?
Asking for a friend of a friend of a friend, of course.
So a friend of mine runs a tutoring centre and he wants to start a UMAT class next year, and he's asked me to teach it. I got a good mark and have an idea in my head for how to run the class, but I was wondering if anyone here had tutored UMAT before, or had gone to tutoring themselves, and...
Can anyone explain to me the pathway to studying and getting a degree in psychiatry? Im hoping to get into unsw med next year as an undergraduate. Would I complete my 6 years, then specialise in psych while working?
In transformers, if the output voltage is lower than the input, it has a thicker wire. Why?
The question popped up in a paper I was doing, the answers say:
"Output has lower voltage but higher current so needs thicker wire."
I mentioned the higher current, but said that the wire provides...

Can I get a 99 ATAR?
The dot point says to assess its significance to society. Is it enough to know 5 positive impacts and 5 negative impacts? We also learnt a timeline of the main events in class, but is that really necessary to what the syllabus asks for?
One of the dot points tells us to assess Pauli's contribution to the development of the atomic theory. I've read over a few sets of notes and they all speak about the same things - the Exclusion Principle; how two electrons cant have the same set of quantum numbers, etcetc. For some reason I...
I've heard some different things, so can someone clarify the format of the UMAT? All the questions are mixed up, right? How many questions are there and how much time is allowed?
I've done a range of different papers from different sources, including MedEntry. Basically all of my marks are following in a range of 70-80%, with most being at around ~75%. How good is that? How can I expect to translate in the actual UMAT?
I'm hoping to get into UNSW. If, say, I were expecting an ATAR of ~97, I'd need around a ~90 percentile umat mark to score an interview, am I right? So going by that, what type of raw marks should I be aiming for?
Cheers
I have an assignment where I need to:
Perform an investigation to model the behaviour of semiconductors, including the creation of a hole or positive charge on the atom that has lost the electron and the movement of electrons and holes in opposite directions when an electric field is applied...
