    Well the first year subjects (maths subs in particular) have specialist has a pre-requisite, so unless you're considering doing calculus 1 and 2 in summer semester or something...you might not meet the pre-reqs. check here Linear algebra requires SS > 27 in spesh Acc maths 1&2 require SS > 38...

    UAI or ENTER or whatever is not looked at as an indication of 'smartness' by universities...the cut offs are only there based on 'popularity' of the course. The higher cut off course was probably more competitive to get into than the lower cut off...it doesnt necessarily mean that one course is...

    This is very contraditory to what you said before... This is a question that can only be answered by someone whos has completed the degree in each of those unis...i doubt you're going to find someone that sad. Go do your own research dude...unis have websites for a reaason.

    97 is moar than enough for UoM, just make sure you meet the pre-reqs. The Melbourne model, spsrt from the regular BE is also a considerable pathwayinto the engineering field...have a look at it on the website.
