Apparently the interview system is just a ballot-style system or they send certain types of applicants to the different campuses. As in the interview has no bearing whatsoever on actual enrolment location. Don't worry - my S1 was 67 and I'm at Armidale too when newcastle was my first option.

JMP is always an option if your GPA and UMAT are good enough :) That's my hope anyway!

does anyone know if UoN just considers your UMAT for interview? even if they already have my sub par GPA? if it's not enough I'd at least like the interview experience...

Unfortunately there's nothing - not with undergrad or postgrad. I've looked into it due to certain circumstances and there is zip, zilch, zero special consideration. They're even more cut throat with that rule when it comes to PG. I'd advise using it for uni marks as you've said. Although...

studying the stat test does not ensure you of a higher mark. it is a common english comprehension and maths questions and fairly basic. i did not do one single second of study, didn't even think about it until the day and got in the 99th percentile.
