Apparently the interview system is just a ballot-style system or they send certain types of applicants to the different campuses. As in the interview has no bearing whatsoever on actual enrolment location. Don't worry - my S1 was 67 and I'm at Armidale too when newcastle was my first option.
Good luck! I'm pretty sure I can't get in anyway because of my GPA.
Ummm 67, 69, 63 I think? S1 definitely was 67 and total was 199, 98th %ile.
GPA: 4ish - sydney doesn't use GPA so I don't have confirmation but pretty sure it's too low to get an offer anyway thanks to first year (five bloody...
Yeah if I could redo it all I would have done it so incredibly different. Health issue has since been mostly resolved, and I was always the type of person who excelled in school (scholarship to a private school, etc) so the academics of medicine doesn't worry me too much. A lot of other factors...
Hey guys,
So I called UoN the other day and asked if a 4.1 GPA would be sufficient for a completed degree JMP entry and I was told it should be fine (I have an average mark of 63 and hence why USyd doesn't use GPA - a lot of 64s that only count as 4 not 5, ack). I have a BSci from USyd...
does anyone know if UoN just considers your UMAT for interview? even if they already have my sub par GPA? if it's not enough I'd at least like the interview experience...
Unfortunately there's nothing - not with undergrad or postgrad. I've looked into it due to certain circumstances and there is zip, zilch, zero special consideration. They're even more cut throat with that rule when it comes to PG.
I'd advise using it for uni marks as you've said. Although...
Haha, I unfortunately re entered the BoS realm that I thought my 18-year-old self had left far behind due to this god forsaken exam and undergrad med applications thanks to a terrible GPA.
S1: 67
S2: 69
S3: 63
Total: 199, 98th %ile.
Considering I didn't answer nine S1 questions, I really don't know how this happened. I feel so ill still - thought I was going to be sick checking the results.
studying the stat test does not ensure you of a higher mark. it is a common english comprehension and maths questions and fairly basic. i did not do one single second of study, didn't even think about it until the day and got in the 99th percentile.
as long as you can do all subjects required for both majors then yep. i'm doing pharmacology and anatomy and they are an equal amount of credit points.
um, yeah, i went to a private school in rose bay and got a full one. thanks. my school only gave one scholarship at the time i got it.
i was in oc, got into selective high and shiz, without coaching whatsoever. it's all supposed to be for people who are intelligent. if you can't get in then you...
i got a scholarship and my writing skills are horrific. i was top percentile in the test for everything but writing and top 10-20% or something for writing. so make of that what you will.
scholarships are supposed to be for kids who are intelligent, not kids who can be coached into circling the...
