Depends on the lecturer and the course. INFS1602 lecture notes were pretty much pictures + 5 words/slide so that wasn't very useful. All the assessments required to to at least touch the book at some point. therefore it was necessary. My 1st year science subjects i bought textbooks for and all...

I overloaded + took language classes from UNSW language institute + work. So i got burnt out and pretty half arsed everything.

Not looking forward to my results. Pretty much bumed the semester
