Is wearing a hat in the produce department a legal requirement, or just company policy? I know hats or hairnets are required when actually preparing food & while in the prep area, but what about when you're just on the shop floor?

Yes! I've tried twice now, and still nothing. Both times my store manager has given me great references. I guess it all comes down to timing.

Yes. All staff members, Except for DMs and Store Manager. Our SM went to a meeting last week. Doesn't really make sense to me!?

From today Jeans are allowed to be worn, instead of black pants. Any colour jeans, as long as they are don't have rips, or other tagging on them.

So we can wear jeans to work now, as uniform...

We had some sort of area managers meeting at one of our stores last week, is that the same thing? Also I started working at woolies when I got back from schoolies in 2008. So I'm pretty much the same as you, coming up 4 years!
