    ATAR and flexjble entry

Is the flexible entry of USyd similar to HSCPlus of UNSW? You can get upto 5 bonus point if doing well in relevant subjects?

    USyd bonus point

Last year USyd cutoff for Sci/M nutrition and Dietetic: 96.85. I got 93.65. Do you think I have a chance to get in thro their flexible entry scheme. I got band 6 in Maths and E4 in Maths X1. Mid Band 5 in physics and Chem.

    School Rankings 2011

That's right. The attempts made by the boarding student are included but they hardly get any band 6. They claim the distance disadvantage when they sat for the selective test. If the 381 band 6 achieved by Hurlstone are divided by the normal selective students, their percentage is always in the...

    School Rankings 2011

Don't forget Hurlstone got 30 boarding students who hardly get a Distinction. That lower their percentage of DA a lot and their ranking. If James Ruse accept 30 boarding students, they sure will drop a lot in their ranking too. Having boarding students is a tradition of Agricultural Schools. I...

How much do tutoring companies/ colleges charge

$28/hour is still too much. Say, you have 15 students in a class. That's more than $400/hour. I know a top Surgeon who won't make that much. Try private, get a Uni student who did well in HSC, scoring > 99 ATAR. You can't go wrong.

    Study time? Homework time?

I feel quite surprised that in another thread, someone said they study 2 to 4 hours a day apart from homework. I have so much homework that I can't even spare one hour for study. I go to a selective school and tutoring. I spend most of my time finishing the work they give me. I know a friend...

    Student ranking in Yr 11?

I mean: Do all school rank their students in Year 11? Even though there is no ranking from yr 7 to yr 10. Will the school est. your HSC score by your Year 11 results?

    Help with Study??

You are so biased. My friend lives in Macquarie Links which is in Campbelltown Council area. It is one of the best golf estate in Australia with 24 hours security guard and gated. No break-in ever reported since it was developed in 1998. One of the prettiest and safest place to live in.

    Umat 2011

Hatred out of chronic under-achievement. Definitely a loser, probably a terrorist too in the future. According to criminal profiling studies, you are very likely to commit some hideous crimes in the future and live in the shadow like the rats.

Could I get into medicine with these subjects?

Yes. Not as cool as "advanced", though.

Could I get into medicine with these subjects?

Not sarcastic, I am sure. Just can't find Advanced Maths in the SOB list of HSC subjects. Why not call it 2-unit maths to avoid confusion. Advanced Maths sounds cool, I Know. Just as a matter of interest, is ther another name for 4-unit Maths? Supreme Maths, may be......Super Maths...........
