Pretty good examination imho. Actually managed to complete it, although I know I definitely bummed out a few of the questions that involved mathematics.
I'm not memorising an entire essay - just the quotes and, if I can remember them, their associated techniques and purpose.
Although.. I do know a few that have said they will go down the memorising path.. despite the teachers' repetitious statements of "don't do it!!!!!!!1111!!!!1!!". :)

In all honesty, as others have suggested, try following Buddhism or any other "religion" which requires you to do some form of meditation. That would probably be your best bet at repairing and regaining a full and joyous life.

@OP: This is coming from an experience web dev and programmer. Don't bother, it isn't worth the hassle. If you choose to, don't change it too much, or give users the option instead of forcing it upon them. All people care about is content, so stack up on that instead.
