Hi all, I was wondering which degree you would think is better for a student who's high performing in maths (4U), but wants to do more business like finance in Uni? They are both at USYD and both require a 98 ATAR, but one is a bach/bach (4 years), and the other a bach/masters (4.5 years)...

I put B. I did it by getting it into a square, put it into normal form, find a and centre, then it’s just the sin function cuz starts at centre. Hopefully I’m right.

Your answer for part iii for the last question may be invalid, cuz it was asking for distinct and real. I did it by letting alpha be real, since one root has to be real, since its a cubic, then let beta and gamma be conjugate pairs, from real co-efficients, and when I ended with a contradiction...

Thought it was more 'proofs' and less 'numbered answers', so definitely more conceptual, which I liked. Not sure if I got the ratio for the triangle, but ended with (1/2)^1/3. Definitely harder than last years. Hoping for raw mark of about 92...Found multiple choice pretty hard...defs lost...

Hi. Not sure if this is a stupid question or not :) ... When drawing a free body diagram in a banked track question (question doesn't provide it), how do we know which direction to draw the lateral force (up or down the slope), as wouldn't the direction affect the result when we resolve...

god lol aha no ways, its just the passion for maths. And nah, no stake rank for me, gotta get a higher raw :) would be super happy with a 90 raw, though did get a 100 in an internal exam

Yeah hopefully won't be perms and combs, though last two years were fine. Reckon conics, or maybe really hard complex numbers...? Doubt it'll be mechanics, but possibly a good 4 mark volumes. Who knows ahaha

Recommend working on weaker areas. A good way to do this on top of textbooks is finding past papers from good schools that were from set in like term 1 or 2 that focus on the topic that you need work on. I'm at a 95ish raw mark, so I'm also doing lots of Question 16's post 2012 and Question 8's...
