I remember 224 back in the day. Tough unit no doubt, was the toughest unit i ever faced in my 6 years of uni.

I recall back in 2012, i did a unit called china trade and investment law, and in the final exam the alarm went off in the E7A building, and due to it being a final exam, our grades were assessed on how we were going in the paper at the time we left the exam room.

Macquarie Law School has been around for over 40 years, and has some well established links to the big end of town. I have had a few partners i have worked with who graduated from MQ Law School and can relate to the experiences that i had at the uni.

I cannot like this post enough. As a current practising lawyer about to hit the 2 year mark, your summation of where the profession is at and how it all works is amazing. Quality post!

Me personally, am going to be overly bias to MQ Law school but for me it was the perfect law school. I really enjoyed the philosophical approach to teaching law, it was not purely about its application, but rather what is the law doing right, where can it be reformed and where do you see it...

As for the original question if you want to pursue law, go with UTS Law, quality law school which produces many working in large law firms across Australia and Globally.

Any combination with law is useful. Due to the oversaturation in the market, it is even more important to truly enjoy your second degree and use it as a backup to get into another professional sphere. As a lawyer who currently works in the industry, i can safely say that you need a second degree...

That is an amazing unit btw. Really learnalot from Accg301, was one of the units in my commerce degree that i did the best in as well. Highly recommend attending the lectures in this unit also.

You guys are making me miss MQ. amazing place, spent 5.5 years there, so many great friends made, so many experiences. Was one of the best experiences of my life attending MQ by far.

Would always recommend using the lecture slides as a good point, and adding on to them with key points that you hear from the lecture or the additional material. That way by the end of the semester you should have a concise set of notes which cover the key principles on a weekly basis.
