i hardly think uts has the best business degree... b.acc is good for the free experience in the big accounting firms. you'll still be doing the standard business courses run by UTS!
I think, if you are interested in being an accountant go for the b.acc, it will get your foot in the door much...
Re: internships 07
lol thanks guys for your kind words
interviewers were really nice. citigroup def won me over, if i dont get thru it will be my aim to get in grad recruitment
thats an awesome bg shandog.. let us know how you went
a few mates of mine are doing psyc tests at macq... they seem to be letting alot of ppl thru [not trying to insult you or anything.. i mean i got rejected]!
Re: internships 07
i pretty much suck. im only doing a single degree [b.com]....... theres no way i will get a spot in banking.
argh accting it is..
btw, thanks heaps stazi =]
Re: internships 07
i have my first interview with citi this week
i am so nervous.. i really want it, but i doubt i will get it unfortch
however, when everyone says research a company, what should i know? everything?
i am applying for fixed income..
if your dead set on b com, with the business law component i'd say its either unsw/usyd really.
and even if you didnt want to do that sub then i'd still say unsw/usyd, i dont think you could compare it with uts really. cant remember if you said you wanted to do finance.. but go for unsw if you...
wow ishq u got 99.4 n you chose to do B.acc ?!
do u mind me asking why?
if its because of the work exp/$$ why didnt you go for a co-op at at unsw instead?
i just started studying for acct and now its hit me how awful i ammmm...
i did the multi choice on webct.. and i dont know how to calculate dividends...?! any idea??
Re: USYD vs UTS. Who's better Need 2 make quick decison
haha i agree...
some ppl say watever they cant get into sucks..
but then again usyd does suck
[no it was not my first pref... unsw was..]
in regard to the co-ops, nsw is offering more to current bcom students [for acct]... i didnt apply last yr cos i didnt noe abt it :apig: but if i wasnt dumb enough to read, i would've..
anyways ive come to enjoy finance alot.. and only really finding accounting1501 alrite..but both subjects...
it was kinda boring..
FULL of asians... lol..
they said for actuarial.. its only preferable to study 4u.. ... =/
yep for fins double major, they suggest to do the 1st major option in sem1 and fins1613 in 2.. i was asking a finance man a question but he seriously didnt know anything =/...
fnx volition..
it was really helpful n i guess confirming..
i think i am going for a ca... not sure at this point but then yah..:s
anyone still going tomororw?
ive already enrolled but i might want to hear what they have to say
