It's so frustrating when people you meet will ask you that, and when you say Law, you can tell that they think it means you're some kind of genius/super nerd. There are shit law students as well.
I'm not imagining this, am I? Do you feel the same when people ask you?
I have up to 500 words to state my reasons for applying for a course. What can I write except for 'I really, really want to do it and this uni is great and that's why I'm choosing it'.
Can anyone think of what they might like to hear? I don't think they'd give much weight to it, but I may as...

can anyone think of some decent jobs that don't involve a lot of customer service/interaction with customers? people are ok, just not customers.
all i can think of so far is data entry.
Has anybody done theirs in Burwood? The office is just off the Burwood Hwy, which is pretty easy driving. I have a friend who did it there a few years ago and he said all he did was 10 minutes of driving plus angle parking (literally just driving into the spot).
Does the test just consist of...
Does anyone know:
1. How am I supposed to get my discount card now that my three months is up? I have no dept manager at the moment, I avoid the 2IC and the people I work with are giving me different answers (one said it shows up in the dept in an envelop when it arrives, the other said I have...
So I'm still on the payroll as a part-time employee who hasn't had a shift for about 8 weeks.
I'd like to officially quit so that I can return my uniform (get my $40 for that) and my annual leave (another $40). What I was thinking I might do is give them a ring, tell the manager (who I've...
I searched for Subway threads and there weren't any, which is strange, but anyway...
What hours is Subway open? I'd guess it would be something like 10am-11pm. They don't have their hours on their site.
And, what is the rate of part-time pay for a 17 yo?
At HJ's I'm having trouble getting 3 weeks pay, a total of 49 hours work. I was told I'd get paid for it next week, and have been given no explanation (only 3 or 4 possible reasons that were made up on the spot). I don't expect that I will get it though.
Has anyone else ever not been paid for...
I have a bit of a problem.
So right now I work at HJ's a few times a week (usually Wed and Fri, sometimes Thu too). I work between 9 and 15 hours per week, and usually earn less than $100.
I've been offered a job at Telstra as a call centre person, for up to 37.5 hours a week, which would...
I was just wondering what this uni is like. It's in Footscray, so that can't be a good thing.
Is there anyone that goes there or knows anything about its quality in the Arts/Law area?
I'm not planning on putting it as a preference, but I just wanted to learn a bit about it before I made a...
Which is better to study Law at?
Also, is Monash a good place, and is that why the ENTER is so much higher?
I expected Law @ Melbourne Uni to be really high because it's such a good place, but not Monash.
Hey everyone,
Has anybody ever worked for Nando's? How much did you get paid (and at what age)? Was it OK?
I had an interview today and I really stuffed it. I feel like they're giving me a second chance by giving me a 'trial', probably unpaid.
On Sunrise today they had some stuff about what to do if you were disappointed with your marks, but because VCE results don't come out for 2 weeks I figured the segment must've been directed at HSC students.
So, when do they come out?
