@ nekkid: Yes.. one of THOSE people , but yeah my mentality is I'm very picky with games.. I only really buy ones which are known to be great, because I just don't have that much time for gaming right now. So when I play, I want to make sure I maximise the fun and intensity with it.. which involves of course having great graphics/fps etc. I think I've gotten around 6 or so new PCs/upgrades in the past 8 years, and the first 4 or so I was severely limited by money (aswell as knowledge.. I once bought a frikken desktop from Harvey Norman *slaps self*), so now that I've become more rich and more knowledgeable in hardware.. I can finally build ones which I've always wanted.

@ asy: Which Gf4? Oh man, I remember around 4 years ago I had a Gf2 and the Gf4 Ti4600/4800 were released and my friend had one. So jealous.

@ ragie: I'm desperately trying to avoid it right now.. so you know, I don't fail uni. But yes, when my 4 weeks of holidays come up *twiddle fingers*

Well I'm considering selling my current rig cuz nVidia and ATi are releasing their next gen cards in the next couple of months. If you want some parts we could possibly negotiate.

@asy: damn.. that's like equivalent to a Gf2 Ti (the one I had).. lol. Wait till nVidia and ATi release their new cards.. then current gen ones go down a fair bit. You can even pick up a fairly decent Radeon 9800PRO for a great price.. although the 6600GT/6800GT are possibly the best buys at the moment (best bang for your buck).

nah, XDA2 is a bit too expensive... at $1500. That's basicly a laptop.

just one with 640x480 res screen and buitin WiFi so you can log into uni network.

Personally I think a laptop is too heavy and fragile to be lugging around uni.

EDIT:

also, I'd wait a while before getting a PDA, with palm6 and windows 2005 on the way.
