Hey,
I'm not 100% on how the HSC and scaling works but just to clarify: If you come first in internals and happen to come also first in HSC, but you have classmates who are scoring around 50~60% on exams, will it affect your final mark?

I've heard people say that you 'get' your own mark if you come first/first so that your classmates can't drag you down etc.
Is this true?

Thankyou!

Yes, basically if you come first internally, then the assessment mark will be equal to the highest external in that subject from your school (which will be your exam mark if you get the highest external). So yes, if you come first internally, then your classmates wont affect your results at all, it'll all just depend on how you go for your own externals.
