During my HSC break I just went Gym and then Overseas. These holidays I'm going to do a Summer Research project for 8 weeks. I was quite surprised when I found out I got accepted since I was only a first yr. I'll probs also do some volunteering work.

Its pretty much epidemiological research on bacteremia and their resistance to antibiotics. What it involves doing, I'm not too sure myself

From what I know, Epidemiology is a lot of work lol

I did the same during HSC. Just lounged around, but I also had a job so yeah. Last year I stayed in Germany for 2 months so I missed out on most of summer. This year I'm going overseas again and when I come back I'm doing my Summer Research Scholarship.

I'm working on synthesising antimicrobials for 6 weeks. Not exactly sure what I'll be doing as my supervisor hasn't had a meeting with me and I think he's in Singapore right now. You doing yours at UNSW?

I'm actually doing mine with Usyd haha. But I'm still a part of UNSW so it's all good

Ahhhh okay. You must be doing pretty good then to be accepted at USyd. I was rejected for the Faculty Scholarships but then they passed me on for a School of Chemistry Scholarship which is the same albeit less money. Congratulations on getting it!
