I though this site was designed to help out pple who need help with their HSC, not to give avenues to over-proud smart snub to rub in to pple who may tried their best but didnt quite get there
and yes its an unfamiliar sensation (many of us are not tat cocky)

No, if that is the case, why didn't we see anyone with band 6 in Standard English in 2002?

yeah, just say 98 to whoever asks, no one remembers the last 2 digits anyways, only the first two, so if you say 97.95 people will just remember 97.00, which doesnt do you justice.

Thats so mean man, to bitch at someone who has just worked their arse off all year just to be dissapointed is way harsh. Maybe in a few weeks she will cheer up and look at all the back door entry methods, but for now, she has had her dreams shatterred and has the right to whinge. If you dont like it, dont read it.
It doesnt matter what your UAI is, you have the right to be upset if it isnt what you wanted or needed for uni. If you are dissapointed with your UAI then you should understand how she feels, if not, shut up because you have no idea.

all that effort, from the start of the year, and it results in this

I could've, maybe should've not tried at all and still got a low UAI

you tell me, what would u do if you in my position right now?

I cant get into Uni, i dont want to goto TAFE!

and i did all that effort to get this
what would u do???
If you cant get in anywhere (consider uni's such as la trobe etc, and transferring) I would re-do my HSC. I know right now thats a big ask, but if you did like 6 units over, it could push you into the 70's and then you could get into Uni. and once you are in, you are set.

not to you only, but everyone in these conversations - i know i am not in a position to say this, as i will get into my course, but you all have to remember it is a number. i know the number can mean a lot, i know it can mean courses, and immediate (not long term) future, but in the end that's all it is. tonight i looked around, and the number meant absolutely nothing to me, nothing at all, keep it real, and remember what really matters. not 4 digits on a website.
