I agree. I thought it was only 24 credit points were semester

1st year maths subs are 3cp and also, you can overload if you wish

or is overloading a bit much? but then again i'm only doing BA which is supposed to be about 15hrs/wk of sumthing

you have to apply through the office.
It is a bit much. BA is usually about 12 contact hours a week + many for out of uni study, readings, assignments, tute preperation, etc.
Although, I suppose if you already know a language it wouldn't be too bad

By "Junior" German, does it mean you don't have to know the language at all?

pretty much. they say no previous knowledge or HSC German Beginners with 60% or less. i mean most people choosing to do it will prob have a very basic understanding of it but i'm presuming they teach it from scratch, just at a fast pace

ha.
be prepared for about 70% of your course to have already studied german for a couple of years or more and just be taking the beginners course for a bludge.

don't let that put you off though. high school tends not to teach languages tooo well and it'll probably be easier for you to learn from scratch than to have to "unlearn" bad habits.
