2007 GT-R PROTO Design (7/10) [Rear-view added]

The last incarnation of the GT-R final design was released today. Apparently it will keep similar taillights to the R34 and have quad-tailpipes.

Ahh yeh I saw this on the Ford forum.

Concept sketches are always heaps exaggerated, so I'll leave the final judgement until I see a physical model. Otherwise, so far looks good - if not a little conceptually detached from past GT-Rs which have a more upright stance and are less streamlined.

let me just say, 'not another bloody 'what is the next GT-R' going to look like' post.

why not make a concept car thread with discussions on their designs? cause it seems every week they release another 'idea' of what the GT-R is gonna look like.

Firstly, I said it's an incarnation, not THE design.

Secondly, it's been a very long time since the last design, they really don't come up often like this.

Thirdly, where else is there a concept car worth caring about?

Pains me to say it but I see what you mean and agree 3 times in a row.

So far none of the concepts are as good as the R34. For me skylines are about being wide low and aggressive the concepts thus far look like celicas and elongated 350Zs. Good cars in themselves but not GTRs by a long shot.

In that design, the front screams NSX and the rear looks 350z-ish.

Rumour is a twin-turbo V6, and lotus may have a hand in suspension tuning.

its a pretty good looking car, but the actual car and concept sketeches usually differ significatly...but if they can manage to get the car looking really similar to that then it would be awesome. who would want to "do up" a car that looks as good as that?
