They do change from year to year and I can assure you this years will be different as they try and time it so exams don't double up. As said by mid year you will have your timetable and be able to plan for timetables but at the very least HSC exams will go to mid-late November so that pretty much means November is wiped if you allow for sign out time etc.

hey everyyone

thanks for the info

my smh leunig calendar says that the school cert starts on the 12th november this year, which means the hsc will be finished by the 9th november (someone correct me on this if im wrong [which is more than likely]).

question: even though the timetable change from year to year, does it change alot? or is it the odd subject moved out of order? because i do mainstream subjects - 3eng, 3maths, physics, chem and economics. so do the mainstream subjects usually change times in the timetable?

i know im sounding pretty pissy about the exam timetable, but i wanna know when i can go on holidays!!

October. "Thursday, 18 October 2007 HSC written examinations commence"

Hmm no it doesn't mean it will end then it really all depends it could but I wouldn't put any money on it or plan anything until it is confirmed.

Yes the timetable changes a fair bit from year to year. The only thing that stays the same is the approx running time is about the same each year give or take a few days depending. It changes because each cohort has varying numbers of students who take courses and then that do similar courses so they have to do the juggling act to try and make sure the majority of people don't have over lapping exams, of course in some cases it can't be helped.

Plan your holidays from very late November. I say that because you need to allow time to sign out of school etc and by late November and for sure in December they will be over.

Looking at last year's timetable, I'm hoping that this year Maths and PD/H/PE are on different days!

Remember that this is last years' HSC timetable. It will most probably be different this year.

*sigh* That timetable will change if you have a look at previous years they are all very different to eachother. The only way you will really know what you HSC timetable will look like is when you get it.
