lol.. this all reminds me of this debate we had that went thru all of year 10 english.. who is more important in society: a doctor or a garbageman?

maybe its worthy of its own post? but yeh.. just throwing it out there..

It's not that hard to get a job as a garbage collector - you don't need extensive education or training.

Sure it is, you have to navigate around streets @ 3am while trying not to convulse at the stinkfest following you. gasp drive gasp.

It's interesting my aim of becoming a garbage truck driver has sparked such conversation.
It's not overly hard in the scale of things to train as a GTD but jobs are sparse and it's harder for just out of school leavers.

I really aim at the more common category of law/psychology.
But I'd like to be a GTD for a day along with the other things I couldn't do for a life time.

School feels so safe in a way if you think about it. You don't have to worry about the realities of life, such as bills, food, daily essentials, etc. It's just school work after school work. The path is set, and you know where to go next, such as progressing from year 7 to 8, then to 9, etc.

However, when you enter the "big wide world", many people are confused and lost, and don't know what to do next. I guess that even though there is uni after school, it is still scary in a way.

Lols don't know where this all came from, but just felt like expressing my views about life after high school.
