We had to do the Nature of Evil ... like boring!
Just a note to everyone - I HATE YOU ROBERT FROST AND JOSEPH CONRAD

ENGLISH LEVEL:

I'm gonna do English Extension in 2010 (choosing subjects for Prelim in 2009) -- I'm in Year 9 btw.

Ciao ciao

OMG - Browning poetry is wonderful! Sorry, I sound like a geek, but
I'm a poetry freak! lolz :D

OK, bye.
Wait -- Browning, Elizabeth Barrett. Tips to tackle her poetry:
Browning tends to write sonnets, much like Shakespeare did. Her love for the poet that eventually became her husband is expressed in the metaphoric, yet still true to form poem "How Do I Love Thee". I wrote an analysis piece on this poem for Year 9 English (I'm in the top class). I'll post it if you like - my teacher liked it.
:D

Hope that helps man!

LOL i have to do browning poetry this term any hints or tips to tackle poetry?
I only did a few of his poems:
  • My Last Duchess
  • The Soliloquy of the Spanish Cloister
  • Life in a Love, Love in a Life
  • Porphyria's Lover
  • The Bishop Orders his tomb at St. Praxed's Church
The most common thing that occured in these poems was that they were written in a dramatic monologue and there was a gradual revelation to the reader about the hidden agendas of the personas. Overall, good poems, I just hated analysing them
