As title is:

Is it worth going? 'Study Success' lectures worth it? Definites? What not to do?

Never went to any o-week thing, other than the IT/engineering camp, you dont have to go, I'm assuming it would be rather useless, up to you in the end if you want to go or not.

Regarding the sessions, are they recorded or something? Can you just turn up to one without making a booking, or one which is already full?

Recorded? Don't think so.

Turn up without a booking? I would say so. Bookings just give them a general idea of who's coming, some don't even turn up after making a booking (like I didn't go).

Did anyone go to the DAB faculty welcome/s or any other welcomes? Anything special?

Offical welcome was a waste of time; half of it was an aboriginal dance. Science faculty welcome was ok, with the talk by the program director being somewhat useful; interesting to find out that chem 1 has a high fail rate. Heh, for some reason the light kept turning off while we were in a building 2 room. Didn't bother signing up to any clubs, as the ones that interested me had fairly long lines or looked dodgy. Probably will sign up to a couple later on.
