Omg in my dream it was a zombie apocalypse .I was with my dad and my mate on a supply run. It was pitch black and we were walking slow. We opened the torch and we were at my schools backfield and there were graves everywhere. We were in the middle and zombies just started coming out from everywhere. We started running i see my brothers survival group get trapped in a room. So were running down the schools road and a yellow car pulls over and picks up this random who turned out to be my family friend. I see my mums car in the distance and this car blocks her off. Somehow i gain superhuman strength and launch the car. I get in my mums car and it was like inception there was another family friend in the car with a laptop "lets watch your dream again"
Was I there?

I wish english weren't compulsory. No matter how hard I try I always seem to do crap. I have no clue how I'm supposed to pull up my average and rank ( even just a bit) before the external exams :( goodbye 90 atar, goodbye unsw. :frown2:

The problem with me is that I have already chosen a novel and film, so as a text type my second ORT cant be a film or novel

i still need to find a second related for discovery, and create backup material for all my generic essays in case the Q is retarded lol
Well because of the whole ghost writing incident, BOS is now changing the questions so that it is more specific, in order to prevent the use of generic essays in the exam. At least that is what I have heard.

they propagate that crap each year, and there's always a way to beat the system

and that's only if one plagiarises an essay - if they created a generic that is their own work - i personally don't see a problem with it and they would deserve the marks for it
What im trying to say is, generic essays answer the syllabus rubric that's great! However BOS plans on making questions specific, so what you talked about in a single body paragraph of your generic essay (say mortality/dichotomy of life and death in Donne and Wit for Mod A), will be the question they ask, and so it screws those who have just only written/bought generic essays as they only merely talked about it in a single paragraph, whilst BOS expects you to write an entire essay on it. There are certain limitations on the art of BSing (at least for me there is)

However what you are currently doing is good, writing extra points in order to account for the specific question BOS claims they will ask

dw brah, you still got trials and externals to do well for english, nws

but have you actually taken the time to consider whether your study for english is effective at all?

because if you're investing a tonne of effect but you're not receiving dividends (it's a common theme amongst the majority of english students tbh), then perhaps you need to begin studying smarter, not necessarily harder
idk how else to study for it :/

perhaps if you elaborate on how you actually study for english, then maybe some of us here can help and give an action plan to help you :)
I pretty much just memorise the quotes, technique, analysis and effects of each text I am studying.
I may email my teacher a practice paragraph or practice essay for feedback before the exam.
That's about it :/
It worked in the past, but doesn't seem to be working too well for me this year.

For the last exam I did, apparently I didn't sustain my argument very well and it lacked synthesis. It pretty much sucked.
