Isn't that apparatus x question pointing only at the condenser? Not the whole setup? I'm actually doubting myself so much after reading the suggested solutions.

It is, I extrapolated that as the refluxing apparatus.

Also, the structural formula question...isn't water produced in an esterification question? The solution doesn't seem to show it...Or am I wrong?

Rest of the paper was ok, option (forensic chemistry) was pretty good.
