Don't particularly mind that to be honest.

The MX5 is known as a ~woman's car~ because of the exterior design but I think that's where the charm is. Making it sleeker will take the soul out of the car imo but I have a hard-on for soft-looking cars (hate Ferrari/Lambo, like Aston Martin/Jaguar, etc.).

I've never had an issue with the MX5's looks, it was always the lack of power that made the car a bit lackluster in my book.

After seeing the photos come out today, I'm pretty impressed with the look. Reminds me of the Z4 and is modern. Doesn't look as balanced as others but I think it has brought the MX-5 forward.

The current model is over 50 grand.

That being said, given it's in run out, I'm sure you can haggle quite a bit off it if you really wanted one. IMO given the competition nowadays in the $30k-$45k bracket, the current gen MX-5 pricetag is a bit hard to justify.

Scratch practical but yeah the Liberty is a daily although I've mostly been commuting in the Swift these days since street parking is difficult get where I'm going.
